Health Care Decision Analyst (HCDA) provides health care planners and marketers with an easy-to-use, cost-effective software tool for market data analysis and clinical risk adjustment.  It uses client-server technology, allowing rapid access to a comprehensive array of public and internal proprietary databases. .

  • Market Share: This module provides insight into the competition and identifies areas for potential business expansion overall, by case type, payer or any other available field.
  • Demand Forecasting: Project resource demand based on expected shifts in population demographics to forecast future demand and need for services.
  • Quality and Efficiency: By evaluating hospital and provider quality and efficiency on a risk-adjusted basis, users are able to assess medical outcomes, resource utilization and the costs and quality of services.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Critical in an environment where business demands for health care information are rapidly changing, ad hoc reports permit the user to drill down to patient level detail for event-level analysis providing access to any variable in the database.

Periodically New Solutions releases value-added fields in HCDA. These represent tools and data points that have been tested and utilized for the firmís consulting engagements. Some of these data points are case mix index (CMI), ambulatory care sensitive conditions (ACSCs), prevention quality indicators (PQIs), and observation. As standard, HCDA includes multiple DRG-based product line flags and can be easily configured to included custom service lines and service areas.
